This ultra-thin watch uses the automatic VC 1120 movement built on track. This is the among the most exclusive , beautiful and refined automatic movements ever produced. This very thin, automatic calibre is typically based on the JLC 920, but it this limited edition the simple automatic movement stands alone. VC 1120 features a free-sprung balance with a Gyromax regulating system, it is built on 36 jewels and features a KIF anti-shock system. The caliber is only 2.45mm thick owing to the oscillating mass that rotates around the circumference of the movement and not on top of it. The outer edge of the movement is supported by ruby rollers, which provide additional stability.

The new Patrimony Contemporaine automatic comes in a 42mm-wide case. It offers simple functions such as hours and minutes. The dial is beautiful, made of sandblasted platinum and graced with platinum indices, long elegant hands and insignia of the brand. Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Contemporaine Auto Excellence Platine retails for about $53,000 and it is now available in less than 150 pieces.
