Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Tourbillon

The brand presents two exclusive timepieces of the emblematic Grande Seconde line, fitted with a tourbillon complication, which is still one of the most valued in the world of mechanical wonders. Tourbillon is an addition to the mechanics of a watch escapement that aims to negate the effects of gravity on the movement and improve accuracy of the watch.

Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Tourbillon is now available in white-gold case with a Côtes de Genève dial or a red-gold case with a Grand Feu enameled dial. Both models are presented in 43-millimeters wide cases, engraved with their individual serial number on the back. There is also a see-through glass that reveals inner splendor of the Jaquet Droz 25JD, self-winding tourbillon movement. The oscillating weight is made of gold and personalized with two sparkling stars. The movement offers astonishing 7 days of power reserve.

On the dial-side, tourbillion shows at the centre of the seconds subdial, off-centered at twelve o'clock. the hours and minutes subdial are placed at 6 o’clock, finishing the symbolic shape of number 8, characteristic for Jaquet Droz. For this brand, number eight is a symbol of prosperity, wealth, luck, infinity and perfection. These models are, therefore, offered in limited edition of 88 pieces.
