Alpina extends its Alpiner 4 collection with an Automatic line and Business Timer GMT Model.
The famous Swiss watchmaker, which focuses on production of exceptional sports watches, is often mentioned as the brand that actually invented the concept of the Swiss Sports watch. Its Alpiner 4 collection, on the other hand, revolves around the concept that combines 4 essential features of a sports watch, in a single timepiece. This means that each watch from the Alpiner series is made of stainless steel, and designed to withstand powerful anti-magnetic fields, shocks, and water immersion.

This fall, Alpina extends its luxury sports collection with two interesting additions. The first is the Alpiner 4 Automatic, a model powered by Alpina's AL-525 automatic movement, which is based on Swiss ETA 2824-2 automatic. The reliable AL-525 is already used for some of Alpina's most demanding collections, such as the Extreme Diver, Extreme 40, and the 12 Hours of Sebring Series.

The movement is mounted on 26 jewels, it offers 38 hours power reserve, and beats at a frequency of 28,800/h. This professional sporting instrument is topped with the 60-minute rotating bezel, which allows the wearer to measure key sports events. The Alpiner 4 Automatic line consists three models, with three different dial colors. In addition to classic black and silvered dials, Alpina has also re-introduced its signature Glacier Blue dial. The model measures 44mm in diameter, and is paired with a genuine leather strap with red stitching.

The second addition is the Alpiner 4 GMT Business Timer, a watch that features an extremely practical GMT caliber. The watch is powered by the Alpina AL-550 Jumping Hour GMT movement, which allows the wearer to set local time by independently moving the hour hand from hour to hour, while the 24-hour hand always displays home time. The movement incorporates 26 jewels, it offers 38H power reserve, and beats at a frequency of 28’800 Ah. Exclusively for this new model, Alpina has decorated the 24H scale with a distinctive red and blue “Pepsi” color scheme that indicates business-opening hours.
