Alpina's Seastrong collection welcomes a new addition – the Alpina Seastrong Diver 300 Black Chronograph Big Date timepiece.
The latest dive watch, which was officially unveiled at this year's BaselWorld trade show, is a bold, contemporary timepiece, with an extremely clear and legible watch face. The Seastrong collection made its debut in 1960's with an assortment of diving watches capable of reaching depths of 200m/660ft. Last year, in 2015, Alpina introduced the Seastrong Diver 300 Chronograph Big Date Collection, while this year sees the launch of the new Diver 300 Black variant.

The all-black execution of Alpina's successful professional diving watch features a 44 mm black PVD coated, cushion shaped, stainless steel case, with screw-in case-back and crown. As its name suggests, the Seastrong Diver 300 Black Chronograph Big Date is designed to withstand underwater conditions any professional diver could encounter. The watch is water resistant to no less than 300m/100ft, and equipped with all features essential for a safe dive.
The watch features a unidirectional bezel made of aluminum, which turns only anti-clockwise. The feature prevents diving accidents from occurring, as the number of elapsed minutes can never be accidentally decreased. The 60-minute markers on the bezel are coated with luminous substance, to remain visible even in murky waters. The dial indexes and hands are also luminous for maximum readability in all light conditions. In addition, the minute's hand is oversized to instantly read diving time. The watch is completed with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a black water-resistant rubber strap.

The Alpina Seastrong Diver 300 Black Chronograph Big Date is powered by the AL-372 quartz chronograph movement, with reliable 1/10th of sec. precision. The watch features 30minutes and 10 hours chronograph counters, a split function, and a big date. The battery-operated movement ensures 48 months of autonomy.
Alpina Seastrong Diver 300 Black Chronograph Big Date, reference number AL-372LBBG4FBV6, is also available with grey, navy blue, or burgundy-colored bezel. The watch is priced at around 1,500 CHF.
