The house of Audemars Piguet presents its newest creation – the Royal Oak Offshore Pride of Indonesia timepiece.
The new limited edition timepiece, dedicated to the Indonesian market, joins the Audemars Piguet’s family of “Prides.” There have been five Pride series so far, and this June, the sixth edition - the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Pride of Indonesia - joins to celebrate the country’s unique spirit and heritage. The extraordinary new rendition of the Royal Oak Offshore comes in a strictly limited edition of 100 numbered exemplars. Number one was already sold at auction on the occasion of the launch event, for 1.1 billion Indonesian rupiah, with all the proceeds going to the National Museum of Indonesia. The rest of the 100-piece edition (ref. 26179IR.OO.A005CR.01) comes with a retail price of 53,400 Singapore Dollars, and it is available exclusively at Audemars Piguet boutiques in Jakarta and Singapore.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Pride of Indonesia is crafted from titanium, and it measures 42mm in diameter. Its original dial is the first in the Pride series that doesn’t have Royal Oak’s emblematic Mega Tappisserie dial. Instead, the anthracite dial is satin finished, and it features rose gold sub counters and applied Arabic numerals. The Tachymeter indications appear on the dial ring, which is also rendered in pink gold. The unique combination of titanium and pink gold material is described as a luxurious harmony between traditions and modernity…

The Pride of Indonesia honors this beautiful Asian archipelago, made up of thousands of islands, in two different ways. Firstly, there is a gorgeous golden medallion with the Indonesian eagle on the case-back. The birdlike creature, known as Garuda, is a holy bird of Hinduism and Buddhism, and also the national emblem of Indonesia. Garuda Pancasila, made of gold, symbolizes the greatness of the nation. Its 70 feathers on each wing, 8 on the lower tail, 19 on the upper tail and 45 on the neck, represent the date Indonesia proclaimed its independence: 17 August 1945. In addition, the hands colored in either red or white, symbolize the colors of the Indonesian national flag.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Pride of Indonesia is powered by the manufacture caliber 3126/3840. The movement is composed of 365 individual parts and 59 jewels, it beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, and promises up to 50 hours of power reserve. The movement’s functions include chronograph, hours, minutes, small seconds, and date, while the black rubber-clad screw-locked crown and push pieces protect it from the ingress of water to up to 100 meters. The Pride of Indonesia is mounted on a hand-stitched "large square scale" anthracite alligator strap with titanium pin buckle and pink gold pin buckle and pink gold pin.
