BaselWorld 2017
On the occasion of the BaselWorld Watch and Jewelry Show, the house of Carl F. Bucherer unveiled two vivid, colorful versions of its classic Manero PowerReserve model. The manufacture model, Manero PowerReserve, distinguished by its integrated power reserve display, is now available in a special limited edition, featuring flamboyant dials in midnight blue and luminous pine green.
The watch, which is entirely designed as well as developed by Carl F. Bucherer, is powered by the CFB A1011 caliber automatic movement. The mechanism, which was introduced back in 2008, is equipped with the peripheral oscillating weight winding in both directions. This elegant innovation allows for an impressive power reserve of at least 55 hours – more than two full days! The central complication is, of course, a practical power reserve, which is shown in a half-moon display at 3 o’clock.
The analog power reserve display is here joined with the digital weekday display at 9 o’clock, small seconds counter at 6 o’clock, and a big date indicator at 11 o’clock. While the watch was until now available with silver and black dials, this time it arrives in blue and green, paired with a matching calfskin strap. Instead of a uniform color, the shade gradates from a deep shade on the edge, to a bright light color in the center. This decorative effect is known as dégradé.
Each color variant of the Manero PowerReserve is limited to 188 models worldwide. In both of its iterations, the limited edition Manero PowerReserve is crafted from stainless steel, it measures 42.5mm in diameter, and 12.54mm in thickness. The watch is water resistant to 30 meters of depth.
