Carl F. Bucherer presents the Manero Tourbillon Limited Edition, a watch that is announced as a perfection in the Art of Watchmaking.
On the occasion of the BaselWorld 2015, the house of Carl F. Bucherer revealed the very first tourbillon timepiece from the Manero range – the Manero Tourbillon Limited edition. This exquisite wristwatch is available in a limited edition of 188 pieces worldwide and, as announced by the brand, it is aimed at all connoisseurs who value genuine watchmaking artistry that comes hand in hand with optimal functionality.
From the very first glance, the new Manero Tourbillon captivates the spectator with its impressive design. However, its stylish exterior only complements the refined and technically complex mechanism. There are only a few watchmakers in the world who are able to create a mechanical tourbillon, which is an addition to the watch escapement that compensates for the faults in the precision caused by the effects of gravity. Depending on the versatile positions of the watch on the wearer’s wrist, the balance wheel changes its pace under the effects of gravity. In order to minimize, and, ideally, completely diminish this influence, the watchmakers have designed a special rotating cage for the balance wheel, which revolves around its own axis, independent of the position of the watch.
The Manero Tourbillon Limited Edition highlights the classic elegance of the Manero range, while combining a large number of functions and indications on a neat, restrained dial. An aperture at 6 o’clock reveals a part of the fascinating mechanism, while the openworked case-back provides a more comprehensive glance.
A date is indicated by a dedicated hand, which is anchored at the very center of the dial, together with the hour and minute hands. The 24-hour indication is positioned at 12 o’clock, while the amount of remaining energy can be read off via the power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock. The watch is housed in a 41,8mm case made of 18-karat rose gold, and it comes with three different dial and strap options…
The movement is the hand-wound CFB T1001, which is built on 35 jewels and equipped with no less than 70 hours of power reserve. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters, and paired with a hand-stitched Louisiana alligator leather strap.
