IWC Schaffhausen is releasing a new edition of its Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph. As a part of IWC’s Summer Editions collection, the renowned chronograph arrives with a water-resistant stainless steel case, a marine blue dial, and a matching rubber strap. In addition, IWC is launching an exclusive collection of matching fabric straps in blue and light grey. The straps, which will be available only for a limited time, are designed to accessorize not only the sporty elegant Portugieser, but also select watches from the Pilot’s and Portofino ranges.
The new Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph (Ref. IW390507) is announced as the perfect companion for your next sailing adventures. The watch is housed in a 43.5 mm wide stainless steel case with integrated crown guard, and resistant to 6 bar, which makes it ideal for water sports and snorkeling. The cool greyish hue of its steel case is offset by a deep blue dial with contrasting white counters. The watch face reveals two rhodium plated hands, rhodium plated Arabic numerals, and a vibrant red chronograph hand.
The Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph is powered by the automatic flyback chronograph movement, manufacture calibre 89361. The movement indicates the measured hours and minutes together on a subdial at 12 o'clock, while the quarter-seconds scale that embraces the dial allows for accurate measurement of shorter intervals. The movement, which can be admired through the sapphire case-back, beats at a frequency of 28800 vibrations per hour while providing at least 68 hours of power reserve.
The second highlight of the "Summer Editions" collection is a special collection of fabric straps available in seasonal designs:
- Pilot's Watch Mark XVIII and Pilot's Watch Chronograph: Four fabric straps (blue, light grey, blue with light grey trim, light grey with blue trim)
- Portofino Automatic and Portofino Chronograph: Two fabric straps (blue, light grey)
- Portugieser Chronograph: Two fabric straps (blue, lightgrey)
