Louis Vuitton Tambour Moon Mystérieuse Flying Tourbillon

Louis Vuitton Tambour Moon Mystérieuse Flying Tourbillon is a contemporary adaptation of the principle of the mysterious movement. Developed in the 19th century, mystery watch traditionally had the movement transmitted to the hands through an invisible (transparent) wheel, so that the hands appear to be suspended in mid-air, as if they levitate.

The house of Louis Vuitton has applied the same principle to the LV 110 caliber, using the invisible sapphire discs. The movement, arranged along a vertical line, reveals the co-axial double barrel set beneath a Monogram Flower at 12 o’clock. The central wheels for the hours and minutes, as well as the tourbillon carriage at 6 o’clock, appear to float in mid-air. In addition, there is no visible connection between the winding crown and the double barrel.
