Parmigiani Fleurier is updating its Tonda 150 Lune model, which was first introduced two years ago. The aesthetic of the lunar calendar watch has been modernized with a slate grey dial that beautifully highlights the complication.
The new Tonda 1950 Lune slate comes in a rose gold case which nicely complements a new dial color. This utterly classic, elegant watch showcases the lunar calendar t at 10 o’clock instead of 12 o’clock as on the previous version. The Moon is shown in a way as it is seen from the two hemispheres, with two arched windows. The dial gracefully balances the date at 3 o'clock, the Parmigiani logo at 1 o'clock, and the small seconds counter at 6 o'clock, providing an elegant, harmonious layout.
The Parmigiani Tonda 1950 Lune Slate measures 39mm in diameter and 9.60mm in height. The watch owns these slender proportions to its ultra-thin calibre PF708, which is equipped with a platinum micro-rotor. The automatic movement is just 4mm in height, it operates at a frequency of 3Hz, and provides around 48 hours of power reserve. The exhibition case-back, engraved with individual number of the watch, reveals a part of its splendor: boasts hand-applied finishes, beveled bridges, and Côtes de Genève stripes.
The Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda 1950 Slate in rose gold with slate dial is paired with a black alligator strap with a gold pin buckle. The watch, reference PFC284-1000200, comes with a price tag of CHF 29,000. More information available at parmigiani.com.
