Ulysse Nardin introduces a special limited edition Diver Chronograph. This time, one of the Ulysse Nardin’s flagship models has arrived in an exclusive series dedicated to the Principality of Monaco. For the last eight years, Ulysse Nardin is the official sponsor of the Monaco Yacht Show, which takes place from 28th of September to the 1st of October 2016. The new, commemorative timepiece pays tribute to this capstone point in the yachting calendar and reminds us of Ulysse Nardin’s rich nautical history. The brand welcomes the most important event of the yachting world with a Limited Edition Diver Chronograph Monaco, of which only 100 pieces have been made.
The Diver Chronograph Monaco is crafted from stainless steel, and dressed in recognizable red and blue color scheme, shared by all Monaco Limited Edition timepieces. This exclusive watch commemorates the yachting event with a minute counter decorated with the heraldic pattern of the Principality. The same motif is also engraved on the sapphire crystal case back, while the watch face reveals the Monaco Yacht Show 2016 inscription. The indexes and hands of the watch, standing prominently against the blue backdrop with diamond pattern, are painted in the colors of the Monaco flag.
This professional diver’s timepiece, equipped with a high-precision chronograph movement, is said to be ideal for sailors and those who cherish the sea. The watch is powered by an in-house designed and produced self-winding caliber UN-150, which is equipped with a silicium escapement. The mechanism drives the central seconds hand, small seconds at 9 o'clock, 30 minutes at 3 o'clock, 12 hour counter and a round date window at 6 o'clock.
The large, 44mm-wide case of the Diver Chronograph Monaco features a unidirectional diving bezel, which offers the simplest way to keep track of diving time, and prevents any accidental changes. The outer edge of the bezel is fluted, as if to repeat the wave motif stamped on its rubber inlay. Ulysse Nardin Diver Chronograph Monaco is water resistant to 300 meters, and it provides approximately 48 hours of power reserve.
