Blancpain La Villeret Demi-Fuseau Horaire GMT automatic watch

The reinterpretation of Villeret collection, which is initiated in 2010, now announces the exclusive Villeret Demi-Fuseau Horaire, a model that serves to adjust the second time zone in half-hour increments. Blancpain, the oldest Swiss manufacture, will officially reveal this masterpiece at Baselworld 2011 trade show.

However, masters of watchmaking have just revealed some interesting information on upcoming timepiece. The watch will feature a rare variation on the GMT complication that allows to set time in the second time zone in half-hour increments. The watch is expected to be extremely easy to use. A few turns of the crown will be enough to perform all adjustments: date, time zone and reference time.

Smooth and easy handlings are the courtesy of the new BP Calibre 5254DF automatic movement, composed of 321 components and able to provide as much as 72 powers of power reserve. As you can see on the pictures, the watch displays

• the reference time at 12 o’clock;
  
• the half-time-zone and seconds in the centre;
  
• the day/night indication for the reference time at 9 o’clock;
  
• the date, which changes in step with the second time-zone at 6 o’clock;
  
• and the Date Change (D) or Time-Zone (F) indication at 4 o’clock.

This watch is crafted in red gold and equipped with transparent sapphire crystal case-back, showcasing the refined movements of the outstanding movement and its guilloché-work oscillating weight.
