Richard Mille for Jackie Chan Dragons Heart Foundation: Update

About a month ago we reported on exclusive Richard Mille RM 055 Jackie Chan watch, especially created for sale at the Jackie Chan auction in benefit of his Dragon's Heart Foundation. This watch was offered at auction on 14 September 2011, in Beijing, and raised dazzling 5.5 million RMB (equal to $860,000, 755,000 CHF or €630,000) to benefit children in rural China!

The unique white gold timepiece was developed by Richard Mille to help less fortunate children in remote areas of China by constructing new schools. The Dragon’s Heart Foundation, established by famous actor, has already built 20 new schools since 2004. All of these projects are charity-supported, and every dollar of each donation goes directly into action.


Jackie Chan Dragon Heart Foundation auction

The beautiful Richard Mile RM 0055 Jackie Chan tourbillon is a high-end timepiece built upon the extreme technical accomplishments of modern watchmaking. This white gold watch is fitted with skeleton dial embellished with the charity’s logo. The logo is designed by Jackie Chan and it represents the famous actor holding the hands of two children. Dragon’s Heart lettering is shown both in English and Chinese, while the case-back reveals subtle engraving “Foundation Jackie Chan.”


This watch is a manually–wound tourbillon that indicates hours, minutes and power reserve. The RM 055 movement, nested inside the case, allows for about 70 hours of power reserve. The baseplate of this watch is made of carbon nanofiber, while the watch itself measures 48.18 mm x 39.70 mm (widest point) x 13.95 mm (thickest area). More about this watch.
