The new La D de Dior is something completely different. A single glance at this piece reveals that there is nothing modest about it. It is pompous, cheerful, and lit by the light of hundreds and hundreds of colorful diamonds. There are emeralds, tsavorite garnets, yellow sapphires, garnets spessartites, spinels, rubies, pink sapphires, amethysts, sapphires, and purple sapphires on the case, all around the bezel and even on the buckle and the crown!
This alluring watch comes with a 38 millimeters wide palladium case, but it is also available in 18-carat white gold version. Palladium is very rare and belongs to the platinum group of metals. It has similar chemical properties as platinum, it is very rare and lustrous silvery-white in color, but has the lowest melting point and the lowest density of all platinum-like metals. Buying a watch made of palladium is a good investment since ore deposits of this metal are extremely rare and its supply is highly limited. Moreover, this metal feels light on the wrist and it very seldom causes allergic reactions.
La D de Dior “Color” watch houses the Elite 631, mechanical manually wound movement completed by Zenith. The movement animates the watch to show hours and minutes, and it offers 50 hours of power reserve. This watch is water resistant to 30 meters and mounted on a black satin bracelet with a diamond-set buckle.
