Audemars Piguet 40th anniversary campaign

The beauty shown on the leading picture is a brand new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo, a watch that has just been unveils at SIHH 2012 exhibition.

The new watch is issued as an anniversary piece, honoring the 40 years of the Royal Oak. Back in November I wrote about Audemars Piguet Open worked Extra-Thin Royal Oak Limited Edition 40th Anniversary Watch, another dedicatory piece from this brand.

The new Royal Oak Jumbo is made in the spirit of the original watch, and features a timeless Gerald Genta design. The watch boasts same proportions as the original one - 39mm in diameter - and uses the same AP caliber 2120. Slight changes noticeable on this model are actually careful reinterpretations of small details of the original watch. For example, the Audemars Piguet insignia is dislocated from 12 o’clock to lower portion of the dial and decorative tapisserie motif is done in much smaller squares.

The new watch comes under the reference number 15202, available in stainless steel and rose gold.
