Ulysse Nardin Classico Enamel Champleve Dragon honors the almost forgotten art of fine enameling. The watch bears image of a dragon, painted on the blue enamel, using the champlevé enamel technique.
Dragons are often depicted as guardians of the flaming pearl, which is a gem that symbolizes spiritual perfection. Dragon images are often worn close to the body, as powerful talismans able to chase away negative forces and magnetize good fortune.
The image is made in delicate champlevé enamel technique, using a variety of colors obtained from various metallic oxides. The dragon image is made by carving the cells into the surface of a metal dial and filling them with vitreous enamel.
This is a limited edition piece available in 30 copies in white gold and rose gold. Sculptured in 40-millimeters wide round case, this watch houses COSC certified UN-815 caliber with 42 hours of power reserve. Water resistant to 50 meters and mounted on hand-sewn alligator leather strap with a white gold buckle. |
