The high-end luxury watch manufacturer, Ateliers deMonaco, introduces a new unique timepiece paying homage to one of the great historical buildings of Monaco – Casino de Monte-Carlo. Located in the heart of the city, next to the iconic Hôtel de Paris, Casino de Monte-Carlo is a gambling and entertainment complex that includes a casino, the Grand Théâtre de Monte Carlo, and the office of Les Ballets de Monte Carlo. Ateliers deMonaco took its inspiration from this mythic place and created a unique piece called Tourbillon Casino de Monte-Carlo with a precious 18K solid white gold dial hand-engraved with a representation of the Casino de Monte-Carlo.
The marvelous new timepiece is encased in a 18-karat white gold case, measuring 44mm and housing an automatic mechanism Tourbillon XP1. This is one of the first patented calibers of Ateliers deMonaco, known for its super-precise tourbillon with 0 to 2 seconds per 24 hours’ tolerance. The 29-jewel movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and provides 42 hours of power reserve. The movement is hand-engraved on all bridges, using chamfering, circular graining, and circular satin finishing. It also features a 22-karat hand-engraved rotor, a silicon escape wheel and lever.
The splendid dial is composed of three superposed plates. The first plate reveals the palm tree avenue as well as the steps of the Casino. The glorious tourbillon is located at the center of the plate, revealing its sapphire bridge that symbolizes the central fountain in front of the Casino building. The second plate shows the Casino’s façade and its two prominent domes, while the last one depicts the sky covered with feathery clouds.
The case-back of the watch is hand-engraved with the mention: Pièce Unique Casino de Monte-Carlo. The Tourbillon Casino de Monte-Carlo, reference dMc-TB-CMC-WG, is mounted on a black alligator leather strap equipped with a 18K white gold folding buckle.
