For the occasion of the BaselWorld 2014 exhibition, Chopard presents the new versions of its iconic Happy Sport Medium Automatic model.
Same as last year, Chopard extends its Happy Sport range with a number of new Medium Automatic models. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the collection, on the occasion of the BaselWorld 2013, Chopard has unveiled the very first mechanical interpretations of the Happy Sport Medium. This year, the saga continues with a couple of new contemporary, feminine and yet unconventional pieces.
The Happy Sport Medium Automatic features one of the most captivating jewelry innovations in recent history – the freely moving diamonds above the beautiful watch dials decorated with an elegant guilloché motif. The fine engraving provides a sophisticated background for the dazzling interplay of the precious stones, while the sapphire case back offers a breathtaking look at the lavishly decorated automatic movement. The bridges of the mechanism are adorned with Côtes de Genève, and livened up with 25 jewels. Nested in a 36 mm housing, the movement beats at 28,800 vibrations/hour, thus ensuring about 42 hours of power reserve.

The Chopard Happy Sport Medium Automatic for 2014 is available in either steel or 18-carat pink gold. Both versions are graced with diamond-set bezels, while their crowns incorporate a vibrant blue sapphire stone. There are two different types of dials to choose from – a guilloché silver-toned or entirely set with diamonds – each teamed up with seven moving diamonds and rhodiumed or gilded hands and hour-markers.
Chopard Happy Sport Medium Automatic models for 2014 are mounted on alligator leather bracelets – blue for the steel version and burgundy for the gold version. The bracelets are fitted with an 18K pink gold or steel buckle.
