The house of DeWitt presents its latest jewelry watch collection dedicated to ladies – DeWitt Blue Empire.

The Blue Empire range comprises four different versions of simple and sophisticated timepieces adorned with diamonds and delicate feminine details. These gorgeous, slender watches are available in 36-mm diameter cases, crafted in either 18-carat rose gold or 18-carat gold and steel. Each of the gorgeous four watches is finished with a luxurious metal wristband with jewelry fastenings, while the wristband of the rose gold model features a strip of round diamonds at its center.

DeWitt Blue Empire in red gold

DeWitt Blue Empire is named after its midnight blue dial finished with a guilloché sunray pattern, and dotted with 12 discrete hour appliques. According to the tradition, the dials have been hand-assembled in the DeWitt workshops. DeWitt is one of the rare watch manufactures to create its dials in-house.

A classic feature of most DeWitt watches, the imperial columns, have been delicately revised to highlight the feminine side of the watch, circling the 12 hour markers. The blue of the dial is disturbed only by gracious movements of two open-worked hours and minutes hands, shaped like double-edged swords. The seconds are indicated by the most slender, central hand.

On the red gold model, the watch crown is adorned with blue lacquer and embraced by a row of 20 round diamonds. In total, 150 round diamonds illuminate the Blue Empire watch in gold. The model is also available a quartz movement or an automatic movement. The mechanical, self-winding caliber beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph, and provides 40 hours of power reserve. It also features a 3-armed balance, made in Glucydur.

Ahead of the SIHH 2018 salon in Geneve, the house of DeWitt presents the Academia Endless Drive, equipped with a rotating endless screw that can be admired at the center of the dial. Endless screw, an obvious nod to the world of automotive mechanics, is fixed so that it can’t move longitudinally as it rotates. Instead, this stationary screw forces the mechanical part to advance. As explained by DeWitt’s founder Count Jérôme de Witt, the curves of the screw in unidirectional movement symbolize irreversible rotation, which is, by itself, an alleg...

The DeWitt Academia Mathematical is the laureate watch in the category «Design» at the WatchFair Luxembourg 2016.

The DeWitt Academia Mathematical, a watch introduced at BaselWorld 2015, is DeWitt’s fourth concept watch. This imaginative automatic timepiece is inspired by historical mystery watches, on which certain components are hidden from the eye of the observer, so it appears like hands are floating freely above the dial, without any obvious connection to the movement. On the mystery watches, the movement is transmitted to the hands through an invisible wheel, which is typically made of transparent sapphire. In its modern-day variant, the mystery w...
