The dazzling new 18-karat white gold Ocean 20th Anniversary Biretrograde Automatic features a playful biretrograde display and off-centered hours and minutes counter. This unusual feminine timepiece is adorned with one of the rarest and most sought-after gemstones in the world – Paraiba tourmalines. No less than 97 of these beautiful stones, distinguished by their bright blue glow, are incorporated into the dial of the newest Ocean timepiece. Selected for their intense shade of blue and luminosity, the stones bring a nice aquatic touch to this timepiece.
The Paraiba tourmalines and 70 brilliant-cut white diamonds are arranged in such a way to evoke the shape of classic navigational tools. The ribbon of stones embraces three counters: the retrograde days of the week on the right, the retrograde seconds counter on the left, and the off-centered hours and minutes counter at 12 o’clock. Around, diamond-stud aperture at 6 o’clock serves as a date indicator. The indicators are set against a delicate mother of pearl dial, which further accentuates the oceanic nature of the timepiece.
The Ocean 20th Anniversary Biretrograde is powered by a Swiss mechanical automatic movement, caliber HW 3302, which beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides 65 hours of power reserve. A transparent sapphire crystal on the back of the case allows the wearer to admire its 18-caret white gold gem-set rotor and hand-finished surfaces.
The watch is housed in a 36mm white gold case set with 57 brilliant-cut diamonds. Water resistant to 100 meters, the Ocean 20th Anniversary Biretrograde Automatic 36mm is presented on an alligator leather strap with an 18-karat white gold ardillon buckle. The watch, reference OCEABI36WW052, is available in 20 pieces worldwide.
Total gem-setting:
169 brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 3.42 cts), 120 brilliant-cut Paraiba tourmalines (approx. 0.33 carat),1 emerald-cut diamond (approx. 0.02 carat) - HarryWinston.com
