The house of Harry Winston introduces two new watches to its flagship Avenue collection. The collection pays homage to Harry Winston’s New York Flagship Salon located on the Fifth Avenue. The design of these watches is a tribute to the Art Deco style that influenced many of the Maison’s early designs. The new Avenue Classic Aurora arrives in a refined rectangular case set with diamonds and sapphires. There are two feminine versions to choose from, adorned with 12 baguette-cut pink or blue sapphires.
The Avenue Classic Aurora is presented in 18-karat white and rose gold cases set with 50 brilliant cut diamonds. At the each end of the case are the iconic Avenue Collection arches, modeled after the three arches adorning the façade of the Harry Winston Salon that was opened on New York’s Fifth Avenue in 1960. Like all timepieces in the Avenue Collection, the gold case and the sapphire crystal are slightly chambered throughout to follow the natural curve of the wrist.
The dial is made from delicate white mother-of-pearl and painted with black Arabic numerals and an octagonal minute track. The new editions feature eight diamond indexes and the small seconds counter set with 19 brilliant-cut diamonds embraced by a golden ring.
The Avenue Classic Aurora is equipped with a Swiss quartz movement and presented on an alligator leather strap that matches the color of the diamonds and sapphires. The gold ardillon buckle is set with six brilliant-cut diamonds and features a gold folding clasp.
