Jaeger-LeCoultre and Argentinian bootmaker Casa Fagliano have joined their forces to create a new limited edition Reverso with a two-tone cordovan strap from Casa Fagliano. The latest timepiece is a fruit of long-lived collaboration of two brands, going back to 2011.
The new limited edition timepiece, which makes its debut at the SIHH salon in January 2018, belongs to the Reverso Tribute Duoface collection, which was introduced on the occasion of Jager-LeCoultre’s 185th anniversary in 2016. What makes this model quite unique is that it features two independent dials driven by a single movement, displaying two different time zones. On the front side is a slate grey dial with gold-plated dauphine hands, hour indices, and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. The reverse side reveals a silvered dial with an opaline finish center and Clous de Paris motif in the background. The small seconds sub-dial is here replaced by a 24-hour GMT sub-counter with a day/night indicator.
The movement powering both displays is the manually wound Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 854/2, which provides at least 42 hours of power reserve and beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. The second time zone indication is adjusted via special trigger system that is seamlessly integrated into the case at 6 o’clock. The watch is crafted from rose gold and it measures 49.4 mm x 29.9 mm in diameter and 12.6 mm in thickness.
The main attraction of the watch is the in-house produced Casa Fagliano strap, designed specifically for this model. The strap is made from light brown leather with a darker brown shade on the fold-over flap. The two-tone cordovan leather strap is hand-crafted for each piece of the limited edition watch series, and it features a tone-on-tone overstitching. Each strap has a unique patina, which makes it different from the rest.
The new Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Duoface with Casa Fagliano strap will be officially unveiled at SIHH 2018. The watch will be issued in a strictly limited edition of 100 pieces worldwide.
