The legendary football club from England, Leeds United, celebrates the 100th anniversary this year. Louis Erard, the Official Timing Partner of the club is joining in the festivities to celebrate the centenary year. For this special occasion, the renowned watchmaker has created a unique timepiece attired in club’s signature colors.
Leeds United 100 Year Louis Erard watch is a special edition release with an attractive, sporty dial that has an unusual counter at 9 o’clock featuring the Leeds United centenary crest along with the powder from the brick extracted from Elland Road, the club’s stadium in Leeds. A brick was sourced from the wall of the players’ tunnel.
This limited edition watch is made from stainless steel, and it measures 44mm in diameter. The open case-back adorned with LUFC centenary glass reveals the automatic movement ETA 7550 Valjoux, which provides chronograph plus day and date functionality. The bespoke LUFC centenary bezel encircles the white and blue dial that reveals a completely new face in low light conditions thanks to a layer of SuperLuminova on hands and appliques.
The watch comes with two strap options, metal and blue leather. It is also presented in a deluxe box and sleeve along with a memory card with as a video featuring unseen content of the brick being taken from the players' tunnel along with interviews from a club representative and Leeds United legends. Every box comes with a certificate of authenticity and a signed 2019/20 home shirt.
