Judging by their numerous appearances in our news section, it seems that the Officine Panerai has been very busy lately.
Following the release of Panerai Luminor 1950 Rattrapante 8 Days Titanio PAM00427 and two exciting Panerai Composite models Radiomir 3-Days and Radiomir Black Seal, the famous luxury watches brand introduces three special variants of the Radiomir 10 Days GMT model: PAM495, PAM496, and PAM497.
Each of the new Officine Panerai pieces arrives in a 45mm diameter-case, crafted from one of the noble materials: platinum, white gold or pink gold. The watches are fitted with the in-house automatic movement P.2003, distinguished by its unusually long power reserve of no less than ten days. A simple glance at any of the new Panerai Radiomir 10 Days GMT models instantly evokes the aesthetic of the vintage wristwatches that this originally Italian brand designed and manufactured for the marine forces of the Royal Italian Navy, back in 1936. The model that served as a source of inspiration for modern watchmakers is actually the first of the Radiomir diver's watches, the same one that was tributed back in 1966 with Radiomir 1936 – 47mm.
The design features of the new Panerai Radiomir 10 Days GMT models showcase the brand's recognizable DNA in their simple cases, applied Arabic numerals, and the iconic sandwich-dial. The case-back features a see-through sapphire crystal window which partially reveals the movement. Visible from the back side of the case is the relief on the oscillating weigh featuring the brand name and insignia. The whole mechanism is built on 296 components and it beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Thanks to the three spring barrels system the movement provides 10 days of autonomy for the various functions of this watch: hours, minutes, 24-hour indication, rapid setting to local time, date, balance stop-seconds mechanism, and seconds reset.
Panerai Radiomir 10 Days GMT variants are all water resistant to 50 meters and mounted on the alligator leather strap. The color of the strap, as well as the color of the dial, varies according to the material used for the case. All three models are issued in a limited edition:
