Romain Gauthier, the famous independent Swiss watch manufacturer, introduces a very special limited edition that goes against classic aesthetic canons of fine watchmaking. For Gauthier, ultra-high-end timepieces don’t always have to be polished and shiny. To prove this, Romain Gauthier introduces two of its prestige models, the Logical One and Prestige HMS, with a bold, sporty makeover inspired by the automotive industry. In this way, Gauthier expresses the edgier side of creativity as he breaks with conventions and creates something outside of the box.
Logical One, which is Romain Gauthier’s Grand Prix de Genève-winning creation, features a snail cam and friction-minimizing ruby-link chain to offer nearly two days of constant force. Its in-house movement, visible dial side and through the display back, is wound using a caseband pusher. It features hours and minutes on an off-center counter, small seconds, and a 46-hour power reserve indicator placed on the back.
The Prestige HMS – which stands for hours, minutes and seconds – features a semi open-worked dial and display back revealing Romain Gauthier’s in-house Calibre 2206 HMS. This movement is distinguished by its large-diameter crown configured ‘flat’ on the caseback for increased winding efficiency, and a streamlined profile.
In their latest reinterpretations, Logical One Enraged and Prestige HMS Enraged feature a matte-black finish on the hand-crafted movement plates and the bridges. Prestige HMS’s louvred brass dial has been hand-frosted then blackened, while for Logical One features the same hand-frosting technique, which here transforms the enamel subdials from a glossy black into a rough-textured grey. The hands are also black, while the watchmaker’s logo features a spiky form, which gives it boldness and attitude.
The cases are made from highly resistant yet lightweight Grade 5 titanium, which has also been ADLC treated to obtain a matte black appearance. Its grainy texture obtained by sand-blasting provides a subtle luster. Both Logical One Enraged and Prestige HMS Enraged are available in three different editions – with dark, red, or orange accents – each limited to only five pieces worldwide.
Logical One Enraged by Romain Gauthier measures 43mm x 15mm, and it is water resistant up to 30 meters of depth. The watch is powered by the in-house automatic movement beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The mechanism is assembled from 359 individual components and 63 jewels. It offers indications for hours, minutes, small seconds; and 46-hour power reserve. Its features include push-button winding; innovative chain-and-fusee style constant force system featuring snail cam and ruby-link chain. The watch is mounted on a black nubuck strap with stitching in color to match the dial and movement accents, with matte black titanium pin buckle.
Prestige HMS Enraged by Romain Gauthier measures 41mm x 12.1 mm, and is water resistant to up to 10 meters of depth. The watch is powered by the in-house manufacture movement Calibre 2206 HMS, which beats at a frequency of 4Hz. The movement is composed of 128 components and 22 jewels. It offers indications for hours and minutes and sectorial seconds, while its functions include dial apertures at 3 o’clock to 9 o’clock to reveal balance wheel and seconds gear, a see-through case-back, and a flat crown for ergonomic winding. Mounted on a black nubuck strap with stitching in color to match the dial and movement accents, with matte black titanium pin buckle.

Romain Gauthier Logical One Natural Titanium
As explained by the famous independent watch manufacturer, the new addition to the Logical One collection surely deviates from traditional case materials typically enjoyed by ultra-high-end collectors. In Gauthier’s own words: “Titanium is still a step too far for many. I respect that, but I believe that in time high-end collectors will move over and eventually won’t think twice about acquiring an haute horlogerie timepiece in titanium. For Logical One Natural Titanium, my instinct was ‘build it, and they shall come’. Personally, I really wante...

Romain Gauthier Logical One Secret
Romain Gauthier Logical One Secret is announced as the ultimate synthesis of fine arts and haute horlogerie. This beautiful watch arrives in a 43mm-wide case with fully integrated cover, set with 181 invisibly set baguette diamonds, totaling approximately 7 carats. The invisible setting is one of the most demanding jewelry procedures since each and every stone has to be cautiously grooved, which involves a risk of breaking the stone. A single press on the discrete pusher will lift up the diamond-encrusted cover to reveal the award-winning multi...
