Carl F. Bucherer Manero ChronoPerpetual Stallion Limited Edition Watch

Posted 1 year, 1 month ago

The new watch from Carl F. Bucherer, Manero ChronoPerpetual Stallion is such a piece of supreme watchmaking.

If you own a mechanical watch with date display you may be familiar with a common problem that occurs as a result of displaying dates for months of different lengths, particularly in leap years. The wearer needs to manually adjust the mechanism since the simple calendar functionality always switches from the 30th to the 31st, in months. So, when the month has less than 31 days, the wearer needs to manually turn the date indication to 1st of the month, and if he fails to do so, the accuracy of time telling is completely disturbed.

Many people have asked me the same question: is there something I can do to prevent this from happening? Is there a watch that actually knows the difference between moths of different durations? My answer is always the same: Perpetual calendar, one of the most refined grand complications, is able to make these corrections by itself, with even the leap years being taken into account.

The new watch from Carl F. Bucherer, Manero ChronoPerpetual Stallion is such a piece of supreme watchmaking. In addition to perfectly combined watchmaking skill, this watch represents the work of art in traditional leather processing. It is offered as a limited edition, in only 30 pieces. Watchmakers from Carl F. Bucherer have joined the forces with American leather manufacturer, Stallion, to create this unusual and refined piece. What really distinguishes this watch from the rest of the Manero ChronoPerpetual collection is the finest calfskin embellished with a traditional floral pattern. The same floral decoration is engraved on the golden case-back; as well on the elegant rose gold pin buckle.

In addition to perpetual calendar, which doesn’t require any manual correction until 2100, this watch provides the wearer with a precise flyback chronograph and a tachymeter scale. The dial is neat and functional, featuring white background and distinctive black sub-counters. The perpetual calendar with correction-free display of the date is positioned at 12 o’clock, the day of the week at 6 o’clock, the month and leap year at 9 o’clock and the moon phase at 3 o’clock. The wedge-shaped index marks and the expressive letters and numbers covered in rich Superluminova-coating, make this traditional complication of the perpetual calendar attractive and modern.

The caseback with integrated sapphire crystal permits a clear view of the mechanical caliber CFB 1904, which provides 50 hours of power reserve. The rest of the Manero Chrono-Perpetual collection is also issued in a limited edition: 150 pieces have been manufactured in stainless steel, while the rose gold version is limited worldwide to just 100 pieces.
