IWC Ingenieur Double Chronograph Titanium is a modern, contemporary and sturdy piece, and yet it still features some of the core of the design set by famous Gerald Genta, who designed some of the all-time classics, manufactured back in the 1970s.
The watch is crafted from titanium and its case houses the caliber 79230, based on the Valjoux movement boosted with a split-second hand and extra pusher. This rather large watch features 45 millimeters in diameter having 16 millimeters in thickness. The dial reveals two separate stopwatch mechanisms that can be used to estimate two separate events of different durations. As you can see on the picture, one of the seconds hands is distinguished by blue tip and superimposed over the other. While one of the hands moves in continuous motion, the other one can be stopped, started or reset to zero.
Being a true sporty watch, the new Ingenieur Double Chronograph is water resistant to 1200 meters (or 120) bars, and has a dial coated in blue and white luminous accents. It also comes equipped with a day and date indication, visible through a double window at 3 o’clock.
