Baume and Mercier - Hampton Collection

Baume & Mercier Hampton watches are inspired by the museum piece from the 1940s: delicate case and a curved cave side, equipped with the domed curved sapphire crystal, and sculptured in a shape of rectangular. Adapting historic models is a difficult task that demands a lot of skill and expertise. The piece from 1940s gives the 2011 Hampton watches their very distinctive character.



Ladies’ Hampton pieces are generously sized, boasting 27 x 40 mm in proportions. The case of a watch keeps the curved case side of the museum watch and comes on a jodhpur” shape wristband made of alligator or satin-finished polished steel. These models are available in two types of settings: 20 diamonds, totaling 0.73 carats, are set in the curved case side of a silvered sunburst dial or an equally stylish two-toned dial in black and anthracite. In addition, a setting with a double row of diamonds is also available, boasting 36 diamonds, totaling 0.48 carats. The central piece of the collection, however, is much more luxurious, it comes in a fully-set case that beautifully enhances the silvered dial and matches the pure white alligator strap. This watch consists of 80 diamonds for a total of 1.78 carats. From the case-back, the watches feature a “Sundeck décor” designed by Baume & Mercier to allow for the watch to be personalized with a word or message of affection.



Men’s Hampton are offered in two variations. There a self-winding version with a small seconds hand at 6 o’clock, equipped with ETA 2895 movement and nested inside of 32 x 45 mm wide case. The other version is an automatic chronograph based on TA 2894 movement. The emblematic pieces are available in a steel automatic chronograph version, with 34 x 47 mm in proportions, a manufacture movement, and a see-through case-back. This version offers 65 hours of power reserve while the red gold version lends 42-hours power reserve and oval open case back.
