Ahead of the BaselWorld 2018 the house of Corum introduces a unique new version of its iconic Golden Bridge model. In its latest rendition, the legendary Golden Bridge, which is instantly recognized by its linear baguette movement placed horizontally, reveals its musical side. The famous Swiss watchmaker has partnered with Joachim Horsley - a composer, orchestrator, songwriter and a singer – to create a unique watchmaking composition. The limited edition watch marks the beginning of an ongoing partnership between the brand and the artist – first musical collaboration for the watchmaking brand!
The new Golden Bridge Rectangle Joachim Horsley is also the first Corum watch to feature a metallic decoration on the sapphire case-back. The unique adornment reveals an extract from the original score of Beethoven's 7th Symphony. However, Corum is giving its clients a chance to personalize the metallic sapphire case back with either a musical score of their choice, an inscription, a motif, or even a coat of arms…
The watch is delivered in a unique presentation box that plays three of the melodies personally arranged by Joachim Horsley: compositions by Bach, Mahler and Beethoven reinterpreted as rumbas or with Cuban-inspired beats.
The piece, available in white or pink gold, features an elongated rectangular case measuring 29.50 x 42.20 mm. The case embraces the inventive linear movement, beating at a frequency of 28,8000 vibrations per hour. The movement is endowed with 40 hours of power reserve.
The manually wound Corum Golden Bridge Joachim Horsley in white gold (ref. B113/03727), with a black alligator strap, retails for 49,700 Swiss francs.
