Harry Winston presents the new Avenue Dual Time Automatic, which is an elegant masculine timepiece, distinguished by its sharp, geometric lines and sizeable proportions.
The Harry Winstn Avenue Dual Time Automatic breaks with traditional design principles and, instead, offers a surprisingly fresh take on dial architecture. The watch face reveals an off-center dial for local time, and a retrograde indication for a second time zone. The watch comes in a completely new case, which retains the fundamental design features of the Avenue collection – rectangular shape and a central arch, which flows over the hand-sewn alligator strap.
In one of its renditions, the case, which is 53.80mm long and 35.80 mm wide, is made of Zalium, which is Harry Winston’s proprietary zirconium-based alloy. The second version, with a warmer color and finer finish, introduces Sedna gold to Harry Winston’s opus. This unique 18-karat gold alloy combines gold and palladium, instead of the typically used silver. The slope of the lugs and slightly curved case-back are designed to sit comfortably on the wrist, while a distinctive crown is set at an angle.

The dial of the Harry Winston Avenue Dual Time Automatic features indications split on two levels, each with its own style of finish. The main time zone is off-centered on the right side, and it reveals two hands placed under smoked sapphire crystal. The left side reveals a second dial for local time, but its hands across the windows of the vertical openings, vanishing from one to reappear in the next. Everything is driven by the mechanical automatic caliber HW3502, which beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The movement is built from 281 individual components and 32 jewels, and sealed from the ingress of water to 30 meters.

A single crown controls all functions of the watch. Pulling out the crown removes the red hand of the second timezone indicator from the sight. The time is set using a small disc located in the opening at the center of the dial, while pushing in the crown returns the hand to its position. The local time is displayed via the retrograde system in which the hand transitions gradually from 0 to 12 o'clock, before instantly jumping back to 0 to start over.
The Harry Winston Avenue Dual Time Automatic is available in rose Sedna gold (reference AVEATZ37RR001) for 38,000 CHF, as well as in Zalium (reference AVEATZ37ZZ001) for 22,000 CHF.
