For the seventh consecutive year, the house of Harry Winston presents an exceptional, contemporary tourbillon, a true marvel of Haute Horlogerie.
This year, the seventh edition of the most demanding watchmaking complication demonstrates exceptional creativity. The Maison redefines the world of high complications with its innovative Histoire de Tourbillon 7, which features two biaxial tourbillons. In previous editions of the Tourbillon saga, Harry Winston explored all of the existing variations of a tourbillon - biaxial, triaxial, double or coupled with a carrousel. This time, the famous watchmaking and jewelry brand surpasses all technical limits with a synthesis of two exceptional regulators.

This avant-garde, asymmetrical timepiece features a highly unusual watch face. The right side of the dial reveals a pyramid-cut reading area for hours and minutes, surrounded by indexable inserts that form a three-dimensional hour circle. Extended by a long perforated strip, in either red aluminum or anthracite, it overlooks a power reserve indicator in roll form. The movement of two biaxial tourbillons is unveiled on the left side of the dial, allowing the wearet to admire their dance with time by observing the first tourbillon cage as it moves into a second cage and both turn on a different axis.

The tourbillon’s first cage, housing a balance wheel that is tilted 30 degrees, completes its rotation in 45 seconds. The tourbillon and the balance wheel remain housed in the second cage, which has a different trajectory, and completes one full rotation in 75 seconds. The cages are nested one inside the other, so they can rotate in an infinite variety of positions equaling out the effect of gravity. Since each of the two tourbillons behaves in its own way, due to their different positions in space, a special spherical differential optimizes their operation. It connects two tourbillons and leverages their accuracy to extract the best performance.

Harry Winston Histoire de Tourbillon 7 is made of white gold, it has a 50 mm diameter and polished bezel. A special opening on the case showcases the dance of the biaxial tourbillons. The movement, with its bottom plate and the bridges made of titanium, is finished in the spirit of true haute horlogerie, and one of the most sophisticated that exist today. Like its six predecessors, only 20 of these extraordinary tourbillons will be released - 10 pieces for the red version and 10 pieces for the anthracite version.

The mechanical manually-wound caliber HW4502 beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, and provides about 55 hours of power reserve. The watch is water resistant to 30 meters.
