Jaeger-LeCoultre has unveiled three new models designed and developed in collaboration with Aston martin: Master Compressor Extreme W-Alarm Aston Martin watch, Master Hometime Aston Martin watch and AMVOX5 World Chronograph Cermet watch.
The partnership between Swiss watch manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre and the famous British manufacturer of luxury sports cars, Aston Martin, has started almost ten years ago. This fruitful collaboration has resulted in a number of imaginative mechanical wonders, including both fine sports cars and high-end wristwatches. This year, the prestige brands celebrate the 180th anniversary of Jaeger-LeCoultre and the centenary of Aston Martin. To mark the occasion, the Grande Maison in the Vallée de Joux has created three beautiful timepieces.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Hometime Aston Martin is distinguished by its reduced but sporty, classic Aston Martin-inspired design. The watch features a harmonious symmetrical dial with two counters at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock, for small seconds and 24-hour display. Time zones are very easy to read since the reference time is being indicated by a skeletonized hand with red tip. The watch features an automatic movement 985H, which beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides 48 hours of power reserve. Crafted from stainless steel, Master Hometime Aston Martin comes in 40 mm-diameter case, which is water resistant to 50 meters. The watch is mounted on alligator leather strap. Reference number 162847N.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Extreme W-Alarm Aston Martin watch features a universal hour display that allows the wearer to read time in any time zone in the world. It is also equipped with an alarm function which produces powerful sound. The watch design is a nod to Aston Martin’s recognizable aesthetics, and it features two juxtaposed discs appearing through a large window at 9 o’clock: the hours disc with 1 to 12 inscriptions, and the second to quarter-hours disc. The dial features alternating red and white indications and a special surface treatment that evokes the grill on Aston Martin vehicles. The watch is powered by Calibre 912, which is hidden in the center of 46.3 mm-diameter housing, and it provides 45 hours of power reserve. Master Compressor Extreme W-Alarm Aston Martin watch is crafted from titanium and stainless steel, and it features Aston Martin’s logo is engraved on the case-back. Reference 177847N.
Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX5 World Chronograph Cermet watch is extremely interesting as it provides the entire range of indications. The central chronograph hand works with two counters on left and right, in order to count off the minutes and hours elapsed since the chronograph function is triggered. The lower part of the dial features an operating indicator, while the inner bezel ring works as the city disc for the world time display. Thanks to this useful addition, the wearer is able to complete instant readings for each time zone. The watch aesthetics clearly evokes Aston Martin and its emblematic colors: black, anthracite, white and red. Another interesting nod to the automotive industry is the reinforced cermet, which was the material of choice in production of the case. The watch measures 44mm in diameter and it uses mechanical automatic Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 752/1. AMVOX5 World Chronograph Cermet is endowed with 65 hours of power reserve and it is mounted on black calfskin. The watch is available in a limited edition of 500 pieces, with a reference number Q193A470.
