OMEGA is unveiling a special Seamaster Diver 300m dedicated to James Bond. The new limited edition watch is created in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Honoring its favorite spy, OMEGA unveils a robust new timepiece produced in a limited run of 7007 pieces. The number of the edition clearly recalls the secret agent’s code number – 007.
OMEGA’s iconic Bond watch arrives in a 42mm stainless steel case with a black PVD treatment on ceramic dial. The dial is adorned with Bond’s emblematic a spiral-brushed gun barrel design and 9mm bullet head at the center. Stainless steel and ceramic are here combined with noble 18-karat yellow gold, which has been used to create hands, indexes, and a special index at 12 o’clock inspired by the Bond coat-of-arms.
The side of the case reveals a golden plate engraved with each unique limited edition number, while the hidden numeral 50, on the 10 o’clock index, appears only in low light condition. This secret signature, celebrating the 50th anniversary, has been made possible by the use of blue-emission Super-LumiNova. Another charming nod to the fictional secret agent is hidden in the date window. On the 7th day of each month, the number 7 on the date window uses the same font as the 007 logo.
The watch is powered the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800, which is a self-winding mechanical movement that provides 55 hours of power reserve. Approved by METAS, the movement is resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss. It also features a beautiful rhodium plated finish with Geneva waves in arabesque – a feature that can be admired through the sapphire case-back.
OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300m James Bond Limited Edition, reference 210.22.42.20.01.004, is presented on a black rubber strap. The watch is delivered in a black box decorated with the gun barrel pattern and bullet-head buttons. Inside, is a travel pouch, as well as a strap-changing tool, and an additional stainless steel bracelet. The price is $6,500, without taxes.
