At the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Cartier unveiled their newest addition to the luxury watches collection: Calibre de Cartier Multiple Time Zone Watch. As the name suggests, this watch belongs to the Calibre de Cartier collection, characterized by refined in-house movements, designed and completely developed at the Cartier Manufacture.

The watch utilizes self-winding Caliber 9909 MC, which comes with a newest version of the multiple time zone complication, providing following functionalities:
  • the home time with day/night indication,
  • the local time,
  • adjustment for summer or daylight savings time,
  • the time difference between the two selected time zones.

The 24-cities disk is completely embedded into the movement, and it is visible on the 9 o’clock side of the case. This elegant solution helps to keep the dial clean and easy to read. The time in various cities is read by pressing the pivoting button.

The watch is nested in a 45 mm round case crafted in white gold. The case is graced with heptagonal golden crown, set with faceted sapphire, which nicely melts into the whole composition. Silverish dial is composed from layers. The upper galvanic guilloché dial with big Roman numerals is offered as a silvered openwork grill with sunburst effect. The lower silvered dial features transferred Arabic numerals, making a nice contrast and providing additional depth.

The lower dial indicates home time, together with delicate blued day and night hands shaped like sun and moon symbols. Local time is shown by the main hands, as indicated in the upper dial.

Calibre 9909 MC self-winding mechanical movement is composed of 287 individual parts and equipped with 27 jewels. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, providing approximately 48 hours of power reserve. The movement is individually numbered. The watch is water resistant to 30 meters and mounted on black alligator leather strap.
