BaselWorld 2017
For BaselWorld 2017, Bulgari introduced a new model to its Octo collection. The new Octo Roma is a gorgeous masculine model that remains faithful to the collection’s recognizable DNA, even despite having a completely new case and a dial.
With the new Octo Roma, Bulgari reinterprets its emblematic Octo collection by taking the formal purity of its basic shape to the extraordinary extremes. This stylish, dress watch version of the classical Octo features a visually narrower profile, even though its case remains exactly 41mm wide. The case appears to be rounder, thanks to the narrow placement of the lugs. The structured case comprises no less than 110 facets, arranged skillfully to highlight the decisive elements of the shape. Even the strap has been slightly reworked, to ensure even greater comfort. Its width is now 23.5mm, which guarantees a supremely smooth feel.
Bulgari Octo Roma is powered by the bi-directional movement with automatic winding, Caliber BVL 191 Solotempo. The mechanism beats at a frequency of 28’800 vibrations per hour, ensuring around 42 hours of power reserve. It provides indications of the hours, minutes and seconds, as well as a date indication at 3 o’clock. The movement is adorned with Côtes de Genève, chamfering and snailed finishing.
The lovely new Bulgari Octo Roma debuts in five versions, with three dial variations. The watch face is available in either white, black, or brown; paired with several steel, gold and steel or gold case finishes. The watches are presented on comfortable leather straps, while the dedicated steel bracelet is also available. Water resistant to 50 meters.
Bulgari Octo Roma watches are priced at $5,950 for steel version on an alligator strap; $6,500 for steel version on a steel bracelet; $7,150 for a two-tone steel and 18ct pink version; and $18,800 for a model in full 18ct pink gold.

The house of Bulgari has recently introduced the Monete secret watches, a trio that pays homage to the Maison’s classical Greek and Roman roots. The model is designed with one of the Bulgari’s famous motifs – the Monete. This time, Bulgari used ancient Roman and Greek coins to recreate something contemporary with what is immortal. The medallions originate from the times of turbulence in the Roman Empire after the death of Constantine the Great, when three of his sons - Constantine II, Constans and Constantius II - co-ruled. The first Monete...
