The house of Frederique Constant introduces the new Classic Index Automatic GMT. In 2015, the successful Classic Index range is enriched with four new functional GMT timepieces – each equipped with a second time zone indicator.
In addition the main hour hand, GMT watches have a second hand that completes a full rotation in 24 hours, thus providing an alternate time zone reference at a glance. The watches are aimed at frequent revelers and executives, who need to know the time in two places at the same moment. They allow their wearer to stay connected with the home time, while traveling away.
The dedicated GMT hand features an eye-catching red triangle, which points to the hour marker shown on the 24hour scale. In addition to the Frederique Constant's in-house made GMT module, all watches share their main features: a generous diameter of 42mm, a classic and simple dial, applied indexes and Roman numerals, as well as combined indicators for hours, minutes, seconds, and date.
The functions are powered by the FC-350 automatic movement, which is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The transparent cover also protects the watch from the ingress of water, to up to 50 meters. This highly reliable mechanism beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and promises around 38 hours of autonomous timekeeping.
The Classics Index GMT is available in four different versions, created either from stainless steel or gold-plated. The stainless steel model is available with an intense black dial on a classical metal bracelet, or with a silver dial paired either with a black leather strap or a metal bracelet. The gold-colored model is also made of stainless steel, but it features a refined rose gold plating all over its case and indexes. The former is combined with an elegant brown leather strap.
Frederique Constant Classics Index Automatic GMT reference numbers are:
FC-350B5B6B – stainless steel with black dial, steel bracelet - Price CHF 1,995
FC-350S5B6 – stainless steel with white dial, leather strap - Price CHF 1,895
