The OMEGA Hour Vision Co-Axial Skeleton Platinum Limited Edition

The OMEGA watches presented in BaselWorld highlight the brand's commitment to its Co-Axial technology and continuous technological and design innovations. This year, the company relaunched the OMEGA Ladymatic, which is a mechanical watch for women, but a true gem of their Basel exhibition is the OMEGA Hour Vision Co-Axial Skeleton Platinum in limited edition.



The cutting-edge timepiece is crafted in platinum, measuring elegantly masculine 41 millimeters in diameter. Thin polished housing embraces the 360° transparent sapphire case body, embedded in a platinum frame, allowing the view on the impressive OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 8403. The movement is equipped with OMEGA’s patented Co-Axial escapement on three levels, time zone function and an 18 Ct gold rotor with a sapphire plate metalized with the OMEGA insignia. The serial number of this limited edition watch is inscribed on the rotor, reminding the wearer how precious it is.



OMEGA’s Co-Axial escapement was introduced in 1999, offering a set of new advantages when compared with the Swiss lever escapement. Any watch escapement uses the energy that is transmitted to the oscillator to maintain its frequency. With the Swiss lever escapement, the wheel tooth is sliding across the inclined surface of the pallet, generating some level of friction, which requires regular lubrication. However, the OMEGA Co-Axial escapement transmits energy using lateral impulses, which significantly reduces the friction in the escapement. This results in less wear and tear and longer service intervals.



The watch is a perfect companion for executives on the go, since the refined time zone functionality allows for an independent adjustment of the hour hand. This way it is very easy to switch to another time zone, without even having to stop the watch.

Completed with matt black leather strap on a polished 950 platinum buckle, this watch is water resistant to 100 meters. Available in a numbered limited edition of 88 pieces.
