OMEGA’s Seamaster Planet Ocean line of watches is upgraded and now each of the models is equipped with one of the brand's revolutionary family of in-house Co-Axial calibres – the 8500/8501, the 8520/8521 or the new 9300 chronograph. The Seamaster Planet Ocean family embraces professional diver’s watches which are now fitted with the Si 14 silicon balance spring and reliable enough for a full four-year warranty.

The unveiling of the upgraded Seamaster Planet Ocean collection was held on the Italian island of Capri. Like every Planet Ocean, the new watches are all set for underwater journey and are set with unidirectional rotating bezels, helium escape valves and water resistance to 60 bar / 600 metres / 2000 feet.

The Seamaster Planet Ocean 45.50 mm Titanium Liquidmetal® Chronograph

is made using revolutionary new materials. The case of a watch is made of titanium and fitted with ceramic bezel whose scaling and numbers are made of zirconium-based alloy called Liquidmetal®. The watch is lightweight and highly resistant to shocks. Completed with lacquered blue dial and integrated blue rubber strap, it is driven by the Co-Axial calibre 9300. It is also available with a titanium bracelet.

The Seamaster Planet Ocean 45.50 mm Chronograph, calibre 9300

has 12-hour and 60-minute counter hands positioned on the same sub-counter at 3 o'clock. Central chronograph seconds hand and subsidiary seconds are indicated on the sub-dial at 9 o'clock. The watch is presented in 45.50 mm stainless steel case with a choice of bezels in matt orange aluminum or matt black ceramic and matt black dials. There is also a choice of an integrated strap either in black leather or in black or orange rubber.

The Seamaster Planet Ocean 37.50 mm, Calibre 8520

are the first Planet Ocean models with 37.50 mm cases, designed especially for ladies. Stainless steel models are powered by the Co-Axial calibre 8520. The selection ranges from either black or white ceramic bezels that sparkle with 42 diamonds with a weight of 1.55 carats. The selection of straps includes a choice of black or white integrated leather.

The Seamaster Planet Ocean 42.00 mm, calibre 8500

(shown on the lead picture) is available in a number of variations. All of them are powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 8500 and offered with a full four-year warranty. The most luxurious of these models has a diamond-paved bezel set with 42 diamonds weighing a total of 2.14 carats and a white lacquered dial. More sporty models are available in a large selection of bezels including matt orange aluminum or black or white ceramic. The selection of straps includes a choice of black or white integrated leather or black, white or orange rubber, as well as stainless steel bracelets for models in the same material.
