Frederique Constant Runabout Moonphase

This tribute to the maritime of 1920’s was first issued in 2009, as a BaselWorld novelty. For this year, Frederique Constant is bringing out new special edition Runabout watch. Following the tradition, the watches are issued in just 1888 pieces per material. This year’s star is the Runnabout Moonphase, available in stainless steel and rose-gold plated variation.

Like all the watches from this series, it relies on the same aesthetic codes as the key brand values – classical and yet contemporary design with a special attention to the detail. This large dressy watch features a case diameter of 43 millimeters, circling around the finely decorated silvered dial. The surface of the dial is graced with delicate guilloche pattern in the center, Arabic time-markers, and date/day indication in two separate counters. The romantic moonphase complication dominates the lower portion of the dial. As every year, this special watch comes in its own handmade wooden case with a miniature reproduction of a classic Runnabout boat.



Runabout Collection will be officially launched on August 12 & 13, 2011, for the 39th annual Lake Tahoe Concours d'Elegance Wooden Boat Show, at the North shore of Lake Tahoe in Carnelian Bay, California, USA.
