Retrograde Misterieuse is designed bz the Giulio Papi team, one of the most state-ot-the-art workshops. It offers a highly concentrated dose of innovation and is a true collectors jewel.
The watch is crafted in black high-tech ceramic, with 15-carat golden bezel with ceramic inserts. Case-back is crafted from 18-carat gold with sapphire crystal window. The timepiece is completed with black high-tech ceramic bracelet with triple folding golden buckle.
Retrograde Misterieuse is complex and interesting from a mechanical standpoint, combining five complications: a tourbillion, a digital minutes display, a retrograde minutes hand, a 10-day power reserve, and a retractable vertical crown. The watch is designed without a side crown, to ensure a full comfort on the wrist.
Retrograde function comes into life when the minute hand butts up against the crown built into the dial. It starts moving backwards around the dial until it is positioned on the other side of the dial. The watch continues to give time while the minutes hand is reversing as a digital minute counter is displayed in a magnifying aperture at 6 o’clock: between minutes 11 and 19, the time is therefore read with the classic hour hand and the figures which appear in this aperture. The watch remains totally accurate, further improved by its tourbillion. |
